Advanced therapy with injection of a highly selective photosensitive drug with great sensitivity to react to irradiated light at a suitable wavelength.

This treatment is used to treat some cases of sub-retinal neovascular membrane (growth of new blood vessels under the retina).

This technique is performed by an ophthalmologist in conjunction with a nurse, with experience and advanced technical knowledge necessary.
